BONNIE IS A REGISTERED CLINICAL COUNSELOR (RCC)
AVAILABLE TO INDIVIDUALS, VETERANS, COUPLES
AND FAMILIES WORKING TO UNTANGLE LIFE'S
"I do things differently. I treat PEOPLE. Not disorders."
In private practise since 2010, Bonnie has worked with various ages and cultures facing issues of complex trauma, PTSD and veteran issues, anxiety, family discord, substance use and domestic violence. After completing a double masters in Counseling Psychology in 2013, Bonnie developed a proprietary intervention designed to change the way the brain and body respond to events, to bring an end to chronic panic attacks and restore the confidence lost as a result of severe anxiety. Her approach is educational, and most often results in an immediate reduction in anxiety symptoms, if not complete relief. She is currently in the process of publishing a book on the method, and expects a release date in mid-2020. Her approach is drug-free and does not involve the use of exposure techniques.
Bonnie currently offers services via video conference and telephone, and serves clients around the world with her unique approach. This allows clients to work from the comfort of their own home, office or vehicle, and often avoids the need to miss work or precious family time. She splits her time between Abbotsford, BC, and Yakima, Washington, making good use of new trends in telehealth.
A classically trained artist, she spends her spare time building things, or on the farm with her partner and their pampered pups. She is currently completing licensure in therapeutic nutrition and is planning a new greenhouse where she will be making nutritional teas, year-round.
Given the level of difficulty her clients are often facing, Bonnie only accepts a select few new clients and spaces tend to fill quickly. You are welcome to request your appointment online, or to send her an email should you have further questions. Bonnie works in a variety of approaches with diverse populations and will devise a custom approach for your unique needs.
Bonnie is available to provide supervision. To find out more or to book a group or event, please contact her directly.

Intervention strategies are evidenced-based and draw from specific theoretical models combined under a single approach she calls Cognitive Experiential Therapy (CET). Central to the approach is the self concept, which impacts thoughts, feelings and experiences in ways that can be elusive and confusing. Many physical and psychological symptoms arise from a damaged self concept but will begin to fade as negative beliefs about the self are discovered and replaced. Targeted strategies help to restore balance to the whole life- body, soul, spirit and community.
